NEW YORK-

Fly-fishing in Yellowstone, exploring ancient cliff dwellings in Colorado's Mesa Verde, and watching the sunset at Arches in Moab, Utah, are among the 50 best ways to experience North America's great parks listed in the June-July issue of National Geographic Adventure magazine.

The magazine includes parks in Canada as well as the U.S., such as Gwaii Haanas National Preserve in British Columbia, where you can kayak to remote islands; Quebec's Mingan Archipelago in the Gulf of the St. Lawrence, and Banff National Park in Alberta, where you can experience the wilderness in rustic Skoki Lodge.

Other recommendations from the magazine include sandboarding in Great Sand Dunes National Park Preserve, Colo.; diving in the waters of Biscayne National Park in Florida, and hiking the 1 1/2-mile Precipice Trail in Acadia National Park, in Maine.
