Theodore Financial Group of the Northwestern Mutual Financial Network announced the opening of a new office in Lakewood. The West Denver Financial Group will serve customers in the west metro area, including Lakewood, Golden, Wheat Ridge, Arvada, Littleton and Evergreen.

Kozio Inc. was recognized at the sixth annual Colorado Software and Internet Association Apex Awards in the “Rookie of the Year” category. The Apex Awards are among the largest technology-honoring events in the nation. Kozio was one of 56 companies nominated and was selected from a group of four finalists.

Verizon Wireless now has the technological ability to monitor children without their knowing it. With its new Chaperone service, parents can see their children’s whereabouts on their handset at all times, being able to keep close tabs on them without alerting their kids.

Rock Bottom Restaurants Inc. on Sunday concluded its inaugural food drive. The six-day drive asked patrons to donate nonperishable food items at the Louisville- based chain’s Rock Bottom Restaurant & Brewery and Old Chicago locations throughout the country. The food will be donated to Denver metro Food Bank of the Rockies.

The Palm Restaurant’s Summer Lobster Feast is available for 80 days, until Aug. 19, in celebration of the chain’s 80th anniversary.
