Garrison Keillor returned to Minnesota in 1997, two years after marrying his third wife, Jenny Lind Nilsson. After their daughter, Maia, was born, Keillor purchased a home in St. Paul in 1998 for $710,000. Keillor still maintains a two-bedroom apartment on Central Park West, the same one he sold in 1993. He bought it for $800,000 in 1987, sold it for $1.5 million in 1993, and is buying it back for $3.5 million. Keillor told the New York Times: “I always sort of regretted selling. It’s a chance to recoup one’s regret.”

Martin Scorsese is selling his New York residence of 20 years. The four-story Manhattan home where the famed film director and his fifth wife, Helen, and daughter Francesca live has an asking price of $6.7 million, The New York Post reported. The five-bedroom, six-bathroom mansion features an elevator, a landscaped garden, two kitchens, a wine cellar and nanny’s quarters. The Scorseses are moving to be closer to the 7-year old Francesca’s private school.

Mick Jagger spent $3.95 million on a two-bedroom villa next to his home on the Caribbean island of Mustique, contactmusic.com reports. A property insider says Jagger’s villa “doesn’t have a pool” and “the beach also has a major problem with sand fleas in the late afternoon.” Jagger, 62, has plenty of choices to get away from the sand fleas – he has homes in London, France and the Hollywood Hills, and an apartment in Manhattan.

Christie Brinkley purchased a modest, three-bedroom, three-bathroom bungalow in Sag Harbor, the Post reported. The listed price for the 1940s shingled cottage in the Hamptons was $1.475 million; it’s just a short walk from former husband Billy Joel’s waterfront home.
