Arapahoe County prosectors told a jury this morning that a Saudi Arabian couple kept their Indonesian nanny isolated and virtually invisible from society for nearly three years.
Khomaidan Al-Turki is being tried on charges of kidnapping, sexually assaulting and refusing to pay the 24-year-old woman, who lived with the family in Aurora.
But defense attorney Dan Recht countered that the nanny was free to go any where, at any time. Recht said she stayed with the couple because she wanted to.
Recht said there was no sexual contact between the nanny and Al-Turki. The sexual assault allegations were made only after the FBI had interviewed the woman 12 times over a six-month span.
The trial is expected to continue for two weeks.
