Calf USA’s charitable foundation – the United Stockgrowers of America Foundation for Research, Education and Endowment – will accept applications for the first round of the Leo and Sam McDonnell Scholarship awards until July 1. Four $2,500 scholarships will be presented during the organization’s annual convention Jan. 18-20 in Denver.
BSI2000 Inc., a developer of high-end security systems for commercial and governmental use, announced it has engaged Transition Partners Limited of Boulder to provide analysis and advice to its board of directors regarding possible financing or other strategic alternatives, which may include the sale or merger of the company.
Replidyne will offer 5 million shares of common stock in an initial public offering. The company anticipates that the IPO price will be between $14 and $16 a share. The common stock has been approved for quotation on the Nasdaq National Market under the symbol RDYN, subject to official notice of issuance.
The Denver Foundation has awarded a $13,000 grant to the Community Reach Center. The grant supports the center’s Early Childhood Services Program, which provides direct intervention through individual, family and group therapy. The program also provides education to parents and the community, and assists local preschools and daycare providers in implementing age-appropriate programs and curricula.

CTEK Angels, a Denver- based venture-capital group, said 11 of its investors have infused $425,000 into Solidware Technologies Inc., a Boulder- based software company. CTEK said it also would help syndicate the deal to investors in four other states.
