SIENA EVENT LAUNCHES LOWRY’S LUXURY LIVING: Henredon designer Barbara Barry grew up loving simplicity and small details. The buildings will boast lush gardens, private courtyards, outdoor fireplaces, a private swimming pool and wine cellars. Find out more during a garden party for potential buyers at 6 p.m. July 29. The event takes place at 65 Rampart Way. Reservations are required, and space is limited. Call 303-639-5638 or visit SienaAtLowry.com.
SECURITY DEVICE AIMS AT APARTMENT BREAK-INS: FBI statistics indicate apartments are 85 percent more likely to be burglarized than free-standing homes. SafeScout is a new security system from Sentinel Vision that looks like a GameCube with a camera and was designed with apartment-dwellers in mind. It plugs directly into a power outlet and telephone jack. It monitors the home and alerts residents if an intruder enters by sending digital images and a 20-second sound clip to an e-mail account or cellphone. SafeScout is available at Target for $199.
ZELDA’S BOASTS HALF-OFF WESTERN DECOR, GARDEN PIECES: Mexican pottery and Western-looking home accessories are marked down 10 to 50 percent at Zelda’s, the north Denver house- turned-boutique at 4321 Tennyson St. The “hot summer sale” includes hand-carved acacia wood tables and woven leather benches. Call 303-458-1561 for information and hours.
