One man is dead and a second has stab wounds to the face and chest after at least one suspect broke into a Fort Collins trailer early this morning and started slashing, officials say.
The injured man was undergoing surgery for multiple stab wounds at Poudre Valley Hospital, said Eloise B. Campanella, spokeswoman for the Larimer County Sheriff’s Office.
No names have been released.
Authorities believe at least one man broke into the trailer just before 4 a.m. through the front door, Campanella said.
At this point, investigators do not know if the other man resided at the trailer, or was part of the attack.
Three women in the trailer were unharmed, she said. One of them went next door and called 911.
Sheriff’s deputies have little information about any suspects.
Investigators believe the homicide may be gang-related, Campanella said.
