Armstrong doesn’t know soccer

Just happened to read a piece written by your man Jim Armstrong the other day in the Honolulu Advertiser on the Real Football game. His comment was on the outcome of a 0-0 game as having “nothing to report.” So how would he view a “baseball no-hitter?” At least the Real Football game is over in 90 minutes, a no-hitter can go on for hours and has to be the ultimate in boring entertainment. Watching paint dry would be a treat.

Lacroix’s plan not so brilliant

When Peter Forsberg and Adam Foote left town as free agents last summer, Avalanche general manager Pierre Lacroix essentially told Avs fans, “Trust us, we have a plan.”

Apparently that plan was to get rid of Forsberg, Foote, Alex Tanguay, Rob Blake and Dan Hinote to clear cap room for Patrice Brisebois, Brad May, Pierre Turgeon and Tyler Arnason.

Brilliant plan.
