Two people were killed early today in a rollover crash on High Grade Road near Deer Creek Canyon in Jefferson County.
Five 20-year-old men from Littleton were inside a 1999 Pontiac at the time of the crash, around 3 a.m. The car hit the guardrail and rolled. Two of the men were thrown from the car and killed, said Colorado State Trooper Eric Wynn.
The State Patrol identified the two who were ejected as Paul Ondrish, the driver, and front-seat passenger Brandon Nichols.
The three men in the rear seat were Paul Ladewig, Corey Grubich, and Kenneth Beers. They were taken to Swedish Medical Center with minor injuries. They were charged with underage possession and consumption of alcohol.
Alcohol combined with high speed are believed to have caused the crash, Wynn said.
