Lauren Rose Delay graduated in May from Douglas County High School. She is a recipient of the Margo Ginger Green Memorial Scholarship.

Lauren has been active in local and school theater productions, serving as director for the youth ensemble group of the Castle Rock Players. She also has been active in the Diversity Club, tennis, basketball and journalism.

Lauren was co-president of the National Honor Society for two years and was a member of the Thespian Society and Link Crew. Her academic honors include Junior Huskie of the Year and Rotary Student of the Month. She also won Best Assistant Director at the 2005 Thespian Awards.

Lauren has volunteered for Special Olympics, the Race for the Cure Cleanup Crew and the Task Force of Douglas County.

Along with being in her church youth group, Lauren has worked an average of 20 to 30 hours a week at various jobs, including as a nanny and with Flying Horse Catering.

Lauren was in the International Baccalaureate program and took Advanced Placement classes. She had a 4.0 grade-point average. She plans to pursue a business and English major at the University of Colorado at Boulder and become an author and small-business owner.
