BOULDER
Brigade offers conservation tips
A brigade of energy-conservation soldiers are going door to door in two Boulder neighborhoods to encourage people to be more frugal with their energy use and to offer tips for how residents can do that.
City of Boulder employees have teamed up with the University of Colorado Environmental Center and Longs Peak Energy Conservation to form the Boulder Energy Brigade. The group hit the Majestic Heights neighborhood earlier this month and will be in the Aurora 7 neighborhood Saturday.
Members of the brigade will hand out educational information on energy conservation, as well as energy and water conservation kits that contain compact fluorescent light bulbs and water-reduction aids.
Residents in the neighborhoods also will have the chance to sign up for free energy audits.
