Robert De Niro is considering selling his share in a sushi restaurant chain, New York magazine reported. The actor has a 30 percent stake in Japanese eatery Nobu, co-founded with famed chef Nobu Matsuhisa. There are 16 Nobu restaurants around the world, all popular celebrity hangouts. The company is worth a reported $250 million. Business partners want Nobu to expand and reportedly have met with potential investors, including Starwood Hotels and P.F. Chang’s, either to be equity partners or outright owners.
John Travolta admits he’s fat and he loves it. ” Travolta told the London Daily Mail life is “too short” to diet. “I love my food … I know I have a love handle or two, but I’m lucky that at this stage in my career, it’s not hurting the work I do. And my wife (Kelly Preston) loves the extra meat on me.”
Britney Spears has hired a nutritionist to help her during her second pregnancy, In Touch Weekly reported. “She wasn’t eating enough vegetables,” a friend of Spears told the magazine, noting the singer had to give up her beloved Cheetos. “Britney is determined to enjoy the rest of her pregnancy and stay healthy after she gives birth.”
Sela Ward on cooking for her children, in an interview with the September issue of Family Circle magazine: “My kids love it when I cook … anything, since I don’t even boil water. So if I pop open a package and bake cinnamon rolls for breakfast … they’re thrilled.”
On a video shoot last month for the the Pussycat Dolls’ No. 1 debut single “Don’t Cha,” Snoop Dogg refused lobster and caviar on the set. Instead, Snoop ordered takeout chicken and biscuits. Dolls lead singer Nicole Scherzinger told the Daily Mirror: “He ordered chicken and biscuits for us all. He was so happy and made up funny songs as he ate.”
