U.S Sen. Ken Salazar will deliver the Democratic Party response Saturday to President Bush’s weekly radio address.
Salazar, D-Colo., plans to address the direction of Congress in his remarks.
“We need a new direction. My fellow Democrats and I are committed to protecting our national security, so our troops can adequately confront America’s threats,” the senator’s prepared remarks for the address say. “It is the first job of government to make sure that we have a strong defense, and that is a job on which Democrats will never fail.”
