Cheer for our Broncos
Well, here it is, what all us Bronco fans have been waiting for – TRAINING CAMP! Everyone is eager to see how the new players will perform, as well as the “old” ones. Of course, we are all hoping for another banner season, with perhaps a trip to the Super Bowl in February.
I have been a season-ticket holder for years. In fact, my tickets were first purchased by my father in 1963. I have been to four Super Bowls (the past two being the most fun for obvious reasons) and have not missed a regular-season or playoff game in many years.
We (my two sons and myself) are good fans. When Al Wilson gets out there and asks us to “raise the roof” when the opposing team’s offense is on the field, we do our part. I’m not talking about profanity-laced yelling. I’m talking about yelling “DEFENSE” and stomping our feet. The last couple of games last season (yes, the playoff games), we were asked to “be respectful” of the six people in front of us and to “tone it down and not be so loud.” Most fans in Section 122 (with the exception of Patriots or Steelers fans) were yelling with us. I ask you, if people are not there to cheer on the home team, perhaps they should think about selling their tickets to someone who will appreciate the game. We were informed last year after we made a touchdown against the Patriots, “NOW you can yell!” It took all I had to keep my composure, but keep it I did.
We are going to continue to cheer for our Broncos and know the majority of the fans in Section 122 will be cheering with us. Here’s looking forward to another wonderful season at Invesco Field at Mile High.

Bell not the answer
I was very surprised that the Broncos got rid of Mike Anderson and kept Tatum Bell.
Watching Bell last year, I couldn’t believe what I saw and was more surprised that the Broncos used him as much as they did.
Bell runs scared, dances too much, and doesn’t hit the hole aggressively unless the hole is 3 to 4 yards wide. He’s not tough enough to be in there on short yardage. The Broncos should package Bell with Ashley Lelie and get a pass rusher or a better back. Anderson made more big plays than Bell, and they get rid of Anderson. I never liked the Clinton Portis trade – not then, not now. That’s another discussion.

What about Longhorns?
Hello? Why are you writing about USC being the big powerhouse? Unless I’ve had a memory lapse, it was the Texas Longhorns who beat USC in the Rose Bowl and Vince Young who went ahead of Matt Leinart in the draft. Write about the winners, not the losers.
