Amy Moore graduated as valedictorian of Chatfield High School in Littleton in May.

She had received the “CU Junior of the Year” award, which is given to one student at each high school at the end of their junior year.

Amy took the Presidents Leadership Class at the University of Colorado at Boulder, a program that focuses on leadership and personal development.

Amy enrolled in AP (Advanced Placement) Eng lish and three semesters of AP Calculus. Honors classes she has taken include biology, chemistry and physics.

Amy was a member of student government for four years and was the senior class president.

She was a member of the Multi Cultural Alliance in 11th and 12th grades and of the school Leadership Group for four.

Amy has been a volunteer for Alterra Assisted Living Center, World Vision and the Disabled Soccer League.

Amy graduated with a 4.0 grade-point average and is a 2006 Boett cher Scholar. The scholarship will pay for Amy’s four years at CU, where she plans to take business and English courses her first semester.
