Part of southbound Highway 85 in Weld County was shut down late Friday, the result of an 8-vehicle pileup at Colorado Highway 60, near Platteville, authorities said.
There were reports of injuries, but none was life-threatening, Colorado State Trooper Gilbert Mares said.
The collision was actually two crashes that occurred just after 6 p.m., Mares said. Investigators were looking into reports that a dust storm had caused one of the accidents.
The portion of southbound 85 was shut down for more than an hour while the vehicles were moved.
