A manhunt was underway Wednesday in Fremont County for a 28-year-old man that is a “person of interest” in the death of a 16-year-old girl whose body was found Tuesday.
Fremont County Sheriff’s deputies are looking for James Hiltz, who is 5-feet-10, weighs 155 pounds and has blonde hair and blue eyes.
On Tuesday afternoon, Fremont County Sheriff’s officials were called to the 2800 block of County Road 1 on the report of a death of a girl. The cause of her death is still under investigation, Fremont County authorities said.
A tracking team from the Colorado Department of Corrections, tactical teams from the sheriff’s office and Canon City Police, the Colorado Bureau of Investigations are looking for Hiltz.
