There are a million reasons to be sorry, but finding this glorious piece of still-functioning, vintage neon is not one of them. Where did photographer Ed Kosmicki find it? Tell us what you know about the sign and the place it marks, in an e-mail to ColoradoSunday@denverpost.com. Include a digital photo of yourself, and don’t forget to include your hometown in the message. Our favorite wins a $50 gas card.
How’d you know?
Last week: “Life is good in the canyon” truck, Bellvue
Winner: Laura Pritchett, Bellvue
That old milktruck is parked on County Road 52 in Bellvue, Colo., in the field belonging to a dairy farmer. It does indeed carry different messages. The last one was: “Jesus, save our peaceful valley from the developer” (the truck is parked across the field from a new housing development)! I honk and wave at the truck every time I go by.
Also rode: Brad & Cathy Holmes, Lone Tree
This truck parked at the base of the Rist Canyon has obviously seen better days. Its message welcomes you after a strenuous bike ride to the top of the canyon. Last weekend it greeted hundreds of visitors supporting the Rist Canyon Fire Department’s annual fundraising art show.
