DENVER HEALTH: Announced that Dr. Jason Haukoos, a physician in emergency medicine, has received a two-year, $840,000 grant from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to study the clinical effectiveness, efficiency and cost effectiveness of routine HIV tests in the emergency department.

COLORADO STATE BANK AND TRUST: Appointed Gary Klonowski as vice president and divisional controller for CSBT and its sister bank, the Bank of Albuquerque. Other new vice presidents at the bank are Karin Petro, treasury services officer; Andrew Lusk, account manager II in the commercial banking division; and Tameeka Aviles and Brian Sherman, trust officers. Susan Early was promoted to vice president and trust officer. At the bank’s new Boulder branch, Stephen Bryant was named vice president, private financial services, and Marcia Torberson and Teresa Gentry were named branch manager and assistant manager respectively.

APARTMENT INVESTMENT AND MANAGEMENT CO.: Announced that Scott W. Fordham will join the company as senior vice president and chief accounting officer, succeeding Robert Y. Walker IV, who will become chief financial officer of Aimco’s conventional property operations.

FRONTIER AIRLINES: Announced several new employees at its Lynx Aviation unit. They are Steve Ray, director of maintenance; Scott Guthrie, director of safety; Jenny Jackson, director of InFlight; Kathy Miller, director of customer service; and Gary Hamrick, director of human resources.

JEFFERSON COUNTY ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS: Installed Kathie Capra-Bowles of Re/Max Professionals as the 63rd chairman of the board. JCAR also named Karen Levine of Re/Max Alliance as the 2006 Realtor of the Year.

THE COLORADO FOUNDATION OF DENTISTRY FOR THE HANDICAPPED: Elected to the board of directors Chris Bradley, executive director of the Colorado Dental Laboratory Association; Gary Cummins, executive director of the Colorado Dental Association; Craig Gibowicz, regional manager, Sullivan Schein; and Brian Hendrickson, a Wheat Ridge dentist and chair-elect of Delta Dental of Colorado. Re-elected to the board were Dan Reinhardt, Robert Arnold, Diane Brunson, Tom Oberle, Peter Steinhauer and Stephen Weinstein.

ROCKY MOUNTAIN HEALTH PLANS: Kelley Tolliver joined as an account executive in the Greenwood Village sales office.

SOVEREIGN BANK: Appointed Donna J. Mount vice president and business development officer for the commercial equipment and vehicle finance division. She will be based in Colorado Springs.
