PALMDALE, Calif.-
A school bus collided with a car and overturned Friday, injuring nine people, one critically, authorities said.
The vehicles crashed shortly before 9 a.m. in this Antelope Valley town northeast of Los Angeles.
Televised news reports showed the yellow Palmdale School District bus lying on its side in the street. A student was shown climbing into an ambulance and a person on a gurney was airlifted to a Los Angeles hospital.
Seven of nine patients were taken to the hospital for treatment, Los Angeles County fire Inspector Sam Padilla said. There was no immediate word on their conditions.
