“The Lion King” opened Thursday to full houses and near universal adoration.
Me? It was my fourth time at the show – and all I can say is “Hakuna Matata,” and this is my last time because the circle of life isn’t big enough to see it five times.
The show is at the Buell through Nov. 12, about 90 percent sold out, with tickets $15-$125.
If you want to see the cast up-close, out of their animal outfits and singing some tuneful songs – head to the Comedy Works Oct. 16. It’s a Monday night, when the musical is dark. Tix are $25, the show starts at 7:30 p.m., all proceeds go to Project Angel Heart and Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS. Autographed items from the “Lion King” cast and other touring companies will be auctioned during the show.
And after the cabaret concert, you can join the cast at 5 Degrees, right next door. Get tix now, call 303-595-3637.

Colorado gets publicly married and divorced this week.
On Sunday, the NY Times “Vows” column praised the nups of Pamela Taylor and Eames Yates in Snowmass on Sept. 23. The 50-year-olds were hooked at the ranch of Meg Goodman and Mike Bonini. The bride arrived in boots and a Nicole Miller gown as a “crackly” recording of Johnny Cash singing “Walk the Line” played. The groom entered on horseback wearing a gold-and-blue velvet smoking jacket and sunglasses.
Things aren’t so rosy for Denise Caldarella and Ezekiel Archuleta from Westminster – who appear on “Divorce Court” 11 a.m. Wednesday on KDVR-Fox 31. According to the publicist, Denise wants the divorce because she’s in love with Ezekiel’s friend. Denise also claims Ezekeil never respected her as a wife and that he “was a boring love.”
Waiter!
People are still talking about Josh Hanfling’s outfit at the Concerts for Kids Celebrity Waiter Dinner Friday night at Elway’s. He wore a Playboy bunny outfit, “but an older and fatter bunny,” he says.
When the bold names aren’t talking about Hanfling, they’re talking about Barry Hirschfeld, Jim Sullivan and Steve Farber singing karaoke – and Hirsch-
feld auctioning off his signature bow tie for $700.
