Former Hewlett-Packard Co. Chairwoman Patricia Dunn, charged with conspiracy and fraud in connection with an internal leak probe at the computer maker, will surrender today at a San Jose, California, courthouse.

Dunn, 53, of Orinda, California, was charged with four felony counts yesterday in a complaint filed in San Jose. The ex- chairwoman and four others took part in a company probe that used illegal tactics to monitor the phone calls of board members and journalists, California Attorney General Bill Lockyer said.

Dunn will turn herself at the San Jose courthouse at 3 p.m. Mountain Time, said Tom Dresslar, a spokesman for Lockyer.

Two other defendants, investigator Ron DeLia, 56, of East Sandwich, Massachusetts, who heads Boston-based Security Outsourcing Solutions Inc., and Bryan Wagner, 29, a Littleton, Colorado investigator, have also agreed to surrender. They are expected to travel to California to turn themselves in within a week, Dresslar said.

The case is People v. Dunn, Santa Clara County Superior Court in San Jose, 06-1027481.
