The following recalls have been announced:
–About 22,000 outdoor gas fire pits, distributed by Agio International, because if the regulator hose for the propane cylinder contacts the burner, the hose can rupture and start a fire outside the pit. The company has received two reports of damage.
The pit is an outdoor gas fire pit with a surrounding housing that serves as a table. Oval, hexagonal, round and octagonal pits were sold; they come with various types of table tops, including real and faux marble, slate, ceramic and stone, and bases, including mountain stone, field stone, flag stone, cobblestone, stucco, brick and wicker. Model number 98500 or 98500A is printed on the unit.
Costco, BJ’s, Home Depot Expo Design Center, Lowe’s and other stores nationwide sold the fire pits from September 2005 until July 2006. For more information, call the company at 800-598-6532 or visit .
–About 130,000 two-stage compact snow throwers, manufactured by MTD Products Inc., because the plastic wheel rims can burst if the tires are over-inflated, posing a risk of injury. The company has received 16 reports of injuries.
The snow thrower has two wheels and comes in red, green, gray or black. The following brand name, type and model number combinations are affected:

The Troy-Bilt and Yard Machines snow throwers were sold at independent dealers, home improvement and hardware stores from July 2004 until March 2006. The Craftsman machines were sold at Sears and Kmart stores during the same period.

— About 1360 Tuscan Sun turkey sandwiches, manufactured by Jumbo Foods Inc., because they might be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes. This microorganism can cause serious infections in young children, the elderly and people with weakened immune systems. It can also cause miscarriages among pregnant women. In healthy adults, symptoms include fever, headache, nausea and diarrhea.
The sandwiches, which were packaged in plastic, have a production code of 35E on the front label. The sandwiches were sold at convenience stores in Washington, Oregon and northern California between Sept. 4 and Oct. 2. For a full refund, return sandwiches to the place of purchase.
