LOUISVILLE, Ky.-
A man went to police headquarters Friday and admitted to killing his family at a public housing apartment, where four children were found dead and a woman injured.
The children appeared to be 8 years old or younger, said police Lt. Col. Philip Turner. He did not disclose details of the injuries.
“There are a whole lot of questions of the why,” he said. “We don’t have a clue right now of the why.”
The family appeared to be of Somalian descent, and translators were assisting police, Turner said.
The woman found injured in the apartment at the Iroquois Homes complex was being treated at a hospital for what appeared to be non-life threatening injuries, he said.
The man went to police headquarters about 9 a.m. and told homicide detectives that he had killed his family, Turner said.
