NEW YORK-
Six young people were stabbed early Saturday during a brawl at a party in a northern New Jersey church hall, police said.
The victims, all male and ranging in age from 15 to 22, were hospitalized in stable condition, said Det. Mark Francin of the North Bergen police.
Police were trying to determine what led to the fight at Bethany Lutheran Church, which began around 1 a.m., Francin said.
“As of right now, there are different reports,” he said Saturday morning. “There may have been just one (stabber) and others throwing broken bottles.”
Francin would not identify the victims but said they appeared to have suffered two to five stab wounds each. He said police were looking for two suspects.
