Ryan Briscoe will pilot the No. 10 RuSport Champ Car for the last two races of the season, replacing Cristiano da Matta, who was injured Aug. 3 in a test session at Road America.
Briscoe competed in the Indy Racing League with Target Chip Ganassi Racing in 2005, raced in the Rolex 24 Hours at Daytona in 2005 and 2006, and was a test driver for Toyota’s Formula I program from 2002-04.
This season, Briscoe has been racing as a member of Team Australia in the A1GP World Cup of Motorsport.
Nash, Prepchuk re-sign with Mammoth
Goaltender Gee Nash and forward Ben Prepchuk have signed one-year contracts to remain with the Colorado Mammoth. Nash, 28, posted a 6-3 record and had 41 saves in the National Lacrosse League championship, finishing the season with a career-best 10.29 goals-against average.
Prepchuk had 12 goals and 19 assists last season, and six assists and a goal in the playoffs for the Mammoth.

Parker’s Larson knocked from Sr. Women’s
Lynn Larson of Parker was defeated 3 and 2 by Boodie McGurn of Richmond, Va., and eliminated from the first round of match play at the USGA Senior Women’s Amateur at Sea Island Golf Club in St. Simons Island, Ga.
Larson shot a 22-over-par 164 through the two-round stroke-play portion of the tournament to advance to Monday’s match play.
