
Kevin Bell, a senior at Hinkley High School in Aurora, earned a perfect score of 36 on the 2006 ACT exam.
Kevin, an International Baccalaureate student, is ranked first in his class of 220 students, with a 4.0 grade-point average.
He is president of Hinkley’s National Honor Society and is a National Merit Scholar finalist. Kevin is a writer and copy editor for the school yearbook.
Kevin is also a member of Hinkley’s Landmine Task Force. The student-led group has raised more than $20,000 to clear minefields in Mozambique.
Kevin is a member of his school’s jazz band and writes and produces music in his spare time.
Outside of school, Kevin is a Boy Scout soon to earn the rank of Eagle Scout.
He is active in his church youth group. Kevin has been to Mexico to build houses for needy families and also traveled to New Orleans this summer to repair hurricane-damaged homes.
After high school, Kevin plans to attend the University of Denver to study digital media communication and international relations.
