What are the top three challenges facing Colorado or the institution you seek to represent?
1. The State budget needs a long term solution to systemic problems that will return when Ref. C money is gone.
2. We need to continue to strive to make our education system, P-16 the best possible.
3. We need to reform our business, personal property tax so we can attract and keep business that will boost our economy.
What is you top priority in the next session if you should win? Continuing to strengthen our Education system.
What proposal in the last session did you oppose the most? SB 06-138, Fuel products regulations. This bill could have hindered the continued exploration of alternative fuels and creates government interference where it does not belong.
What proposal in the last session did you agree with the most? HB 1411, Eminent Domain. This bill was Colorado’s rebuke to the current supreme court decision on the taking of personal property. 1411 allows for just compensation and owner permission being executing eminent domain.
