Family: I have been married to David Driscoll for 23 years. We have two daughters, Mara Driscoll (age 16) and Ellie Driscoll (age 12), and an English Setter called Coco.
How long have you lived in Colorado? Where did you live before? I have lived in Colorado since 1982. I moved here from Ohio, where I attended law school. I grew up in Bloomington, Indiana.
Last book read: Just finished “Anna Karenina.” I am half way through Thomas Friedman’s “The World is Flat.”
Civic Involvement (no more than 5): I currently serve on the city of Boulder Planning Board. Prior to that Iserved on the Boulder County Housing Authority and the Boulder County Parks and Open Space Advisory Committee. I am currently on the board of The Boulder Ballet and serve as secretary of that organization. I have been on the board and was co-chair of PLAN Boulder County, an organization of citizen activists.

Why are you running?: To bring leadership and commitment to the challenge of rebuilding our state institutions after the recession and confronting the challenges created by global warming.
What are the top three challenges facing Colorado or the institution you seek to represent?
Our top three challenges are curbing our use of fossil fuels; extending health insurance to all Coloradans; and providing adequate resources to education at all levels.
What is your top priority in the next session if you should win? My top priority will be to enact energy conservation and efficiency measures that will reduce our consumption of fossil fuels and greenhouse gas emissions.
What proposal in the last session did you oppose the most?
I was not in the legislature during the last session. I was concerned with efforts to divert Referendum C funds away from education and into highway construction.
What proposal in the last session did you agree with the most?
SB1 to create a multi-state prescription drug purchasing pool.
