Why are you running? People have told me they want a representative who will put aside partisan differences and lead with honesty and integrity. I am that leader.

What are the top three challenges facing Colorado or the institution you seek to represent?

I believe the top three challenges facing Colorado include the following:

1. Creating family-supporting jobs in Colorado by investing in a new energy economy;

2. Finding the resources needed to prepare Colorado’s kids to succeed in the 21st -Century world;

3. Fixing our broken health-care system and covering Colorado’s 750,000 uninsured citizens.

What is your top priority in the next session if you should win? I will work to keep the promises made when voters approved Referendum C by supporting higher education, K-12 education, health care and transportation.

What proposal in the last session did you oppose the most? One example of a bad bill was HB06-1284, an attack on tenure at public universities that died for lack of a Senate sponsor.

What proposal in the last session did you agree with the most? A good bill that I agree with was SB-208 that created a bipartisan commission to begin to address health care reforms in Colorado.
