Foliage is at 85 percent peak in Monongalia, Upshur and Wetzel counties. Recommended drives include Interstate 68 to Coopers Rock State Forest and U.S. Route 33 from Buckhannon to Elkins.

In addition, foliage is at 80 percent in Fayette, McDowell, Mercer and Wyoming counties; 75 percent in Raleigh and Summers counties; and at 70 percent in Braxton, Clay, Lewis and Nicholas counties.

Foresters report foliage in most other lower elevation areas of the state range from 50 percent to 60 percent peak.
