A Colorado Department of Transportation worker is in critical condition after being hit by a semi-trailer this morning on I-70 near Watkins.
The accident happened around 11: 30 a.m., on westbound I-70 about four miles east of Watkins in Adams County.
The worker was trying to get into his truck after loading it with debris, when he was hit.
The man has multiple injuries. CDOT said his name would be released pending family notification.
The worker was airlifted to a Denver hospital.
