The Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference men’s and women’s postseason soccer tournaments were rescheduled because of snowy weather, the league said Thursday.

The men’s tournament will begin today in Durango, but the 1 p.m. game between No. 2-seeded Colorado Mines and No. 3 Metro State was moved to CSU-Pueblo Field in Pueblo. The semifinal between No. 1 Fort Lewis and No. 4 CSU-Pueblo remains at Dirks Field in Durango at 2:30 p.m. The championship will be played Sunday at 1 p.m. in Durango.

In the women’s bracket, the first two rounds were moved back a day, but remain at Auraria Field in Denver. The quarterfinals begin today as No. 4 Fort Lewis takes on No. 5 CSU-Pueblo at noon and No. 3 Mesa State plays No. 6 Adams State at 3 p.m. No. 1 Metro State awaits a noon semifinal Saturday, and No. 2 Regis will play at 3 p.m. The championship is scheduled for Sunday at 1 p.m.

AFA men’s hoops gets MWC No. 3 projection

The Air Force men’s basketball team was picked to finish third in the Mountain West Conference in a preseason poll of media, while Colorado State and Wyoming were tagged seventh and eighth, respectively, in the nine-team league. San Diego State was picked to win the MWC.

Air Force forward Jacob Burtschi and Colorado State forward Jason Smith, both seniors, were voted to the preseason all-conference team.

The Wyoming women’s team was picked to finish fifth in the MWC in a poll of coaches and media, while Air Force was tagged eighth and Colorado State ninth. New Mexico was predicted to finish first, with BYU second.

Wyoming forward Hanna Zavecz was placed on the preseason all-conference team, while Wyoming freshman Justyna Podziemska was picked newcomer of the year.
