Owners who are looking for help at tight end should look at rookie Owen Daniels of Houston, who had a breakout game Sunday once David Carr was benched for Sage Rosenfels. If Rosenfels continues to start for the Texans, Daniels could develop into a solid player.
Other options at tight end that are available in many leagues include Desmond Clark of the Bears and Jerramy Stevens of the Seahawks, who returned to action this week for the first time after two knee surgeries during the offseason.
Broncos rookie tight end Tony Scheffler also had his best game so far this season, but owners might want to shy away from him considering Denver’s run-heavy offense.
While most tight ends won’t win games single-handedly, most champions don’t have weeks with zero points from the position.
