The Colorado Mammoth is running a contest for fans to “pick the team.” Admission is free to the Maroon and White intrasquad game Sunday at 6 p.m. at the Pepsi Center, and fans can vote for the 23 players they think will be on the roster. Fans with a ballot that matches the final roster will win two free ski-lift tickets to Monarch Mountain, and be entered to win a weekend trip to Arizona. The trip will include game tickets to the Mammoth game against the Arizona Sting, airfare and hotel.
Eagles beat Tulsa to improve to 5-1
Colorado came back from two goals down to beat host Tulsa 3-2 on Tuesday night in the Central Hockey League.
Sean Robertson, Garrett Larson and Riley Nelson scored goals for the Eagles, who have won five straight since dropping their season opener to the Rocky Mountain Rage. It is the fourth time the Eagles have come back to win, include twice from being down 2-0.
CU cruises to exhibition win over Regis
Richard Roby led four University of Colorado players in double figures with 15 points as the Buffs cruised to a 73-37 win over Regis.
CU did not dominate until after halftime. The game was tied at 16 before Marcus King-Stockton scored four points in a 6-0 run to put the Buffs up 22-16 at the half.
Colorado held Regis scoreless for the first 3:49 of the second half and maintained double-figure leads most of the rest of the game. King-Stockton finished with 10 points and Dominique Coleman had 10 points and 10 rebounds. Brandon Butler led Regis with 10 points.
