Voting lines surged around quitting time as workers left their jobs and tried to vote on their way home. Election officials assured them that everyone in line by 7 p.m. would be able to vote. But popular spots, like the Tattered Cover Bookstore in Lodo, reported a 2.5 hour wait at 6:45 p.m.

Polling places outside of Denver report the shortest lines.

FairVote Colorado told voters that if they were in line at a voting center, and there was no provisional ballot available, they may vote with a secure sample ballot. This means they may complete a yellow, sample ballot, sign it, and give it to the Election Judge, if they are deemed eligible, the vote will count. It is being considered as the back up to the back up.
