DENVER – Environmental groups took aim Thursday at the Colorado State Land Board for excluding the public from the process of selecting a developer for the former Lowry Bombing Range.

The board heard presentations from developers Tuesday and Wednesday, “in the midst of Election Day chaos,” according to a joint release by Environment Colorado and the Colorado Environmental Coalition.

And the board has given the public a “mere” 10 days to submit written comments on the proposals, even though it refuses to make the submittals available to the public, the release said.

The public can submit comments via the board’s website at trustlands.state.co.us.
