The Air Force hockey team scored three third-period goals in a come-from-behind 5-3 victory over Canisius in an Atlantic Hockey Association game Saturday at Buffalo State Sports Arena in Buffalo, N.Y.
The Falcons’ Eric Ehn scored his second goal of the game at 13:22 of the third to tie the score at 3-3. Less than a minute later, Brian Gineo scored the game-winner on the power play.
Ehn’s 12th goal of the season tied Niagara’s Ted Cook for most in the NCAA.
Air Force (5-5-1, 3-1-1 AHA) moved into a third-place tie in the conference with seven points. With two points, Canisius (1-9, 1-5) leads only winless American International.
Cotton Kings shut out Rocky Mountain
The Lubbock (Texas) Cotton Kings of the Central Hockey League took advantage of 15 power plays for a 3-0 victory over the Rocky Mountain Rage at Lubbock Municipal Coliseum.
All three Kings goals came with a man advantage. Lubbock goalie Kyle Stanton earned the shutout by making 19 saves.
