Alamosa – Danny Woodhead had four consecutive touchdown runs to lead Chadron State, ranked No. 8 in Division II, to a 44-28 victory over host Adams State in a Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference game at Rex Stadium on Saturday.

Woodhead compiled 245 yards on 26 carries. His four straight scores, on runs of 3, 53, 3 and 63 yards, erased an early Adams State (6-5, 4-4 RMAC) lead and put Chadron (11-0, 8-0) too far ahead. Clint Buderus led Adams State with 105 yards passing on 12-of-27 completions.

WESTERN ST. 21, COLO. MINES 13

Gunnison – Western State’s two TDs in the second quarter topped Mines (4-7, 2-6) in the RMAC finales for both teams at the Mountaineer Bowl. Avionne James scored a 1-yard TD and Casey Adragna caught a 6-yard pass from Dan Brethauer for a TD three minutes later to give Western State (3-8, 2-6) the lead for good.

MESA STATE 19, NEW MEXICO HIGHLANDS 7

Grand Junction – Mesa State scored 19 unanswered points to down New Mexico Highlands at Stocker Stadium.

Tyler Johnson made two field goals, from 51 and 40 yards, to put Mesa State (4-7, 3-5) ahead 13-7. Maurice Manley’s 1-yard TD reception from Phil Vigil midway through the third put the game out of reach for Highlands (5-5, 4-4).

COLORADO COLLEGE 28, SW ASSEMBLIES OF GOD 6

Colorado Springs – Chris Neal tied school records for touchdown passes in a season and career rushing scores in lifting the Tigers (5-5) to a D-III victory over Southwest Assemblies of God (2-8) at Washburn Field.

Neal’s two TD passes – to go with two more scores on the ground – gave him 16 passing scores this season, tying a school record. He also tied a school record for career rushing touchdowns with 27, after running for 156 yards on 27 carries.
