FORT COLLINS – Larimer County authorities identified the two people Monday who died in a suspected murder-suicide south of Fort Collins over the weekend.
Michelle Sinnett, 40, died from two gunshot wounds to her chest and arms, the Larimer County Coroner’s Office said. Her estranged husband, 41-year-old Jeffrey Sinnett, died from a gunshot wound to the head.
Authorities said Jeffrey Sinnett shot his wife before taking his own life. The couple was in the process of getting a divorce but had not yet filed the necessary paperwork, said Eloise Campanella, a spokeswoman for the Larimer County Sheriff’s Office.
The shooting happened Saturday afternoon in the 300 block of Park Place Court, south of Fort Collins.
