Denver detectives presented their criminal case against two men in the hit-and-run deaths of Rebecca Bingham and her two children to the Denver district attorney Tuesday.

Prosecutors expect to decide tomorrow what charges to file against Lawrence Trujillo, 36, and Eric Phil Snell, 35, said Lynn Kimbrough, spokeswoman for District Attorney Mitch Morrissey.

Police accuse Trujillo of driving drunk, running down the Bingham family with his pickup truck while they were in a downtown crosswalk on 15th and Arapahoe streets on Friday night, and leaving the scene of the crash.

Rebecca Bingham, 39, her 2-year-old son Garrison and 4-year-old daughter Macie were fatally wounded. Frank Bingham, 41, the husband and father, was injured but survived and was released from the hospital Monday night.

Trujillo could face up to three counts of vehicular homicide while driving under the influence, four counts of leaving the scene of an accident, and one count of vehicular assault while driving under the influence.

Snell, who told police he was a passenger in Trujillo’s truck, is also facing possible criminal charges.
