Hank Baker, senior vice president of marketing for Forest City Stapleton and chairman of the Denver-based Public Education and Business Coalition, on conversations he wants to have with Gov.-elect Bill Ritter. The coalition has complained that Colorado imports a highly educated workforce but doesn’t invest as much as it should in public education.

Milton Friedman, a Nobel Prize-winning economist who doggedly championed individual freedom and free markets, in his essay “Is Capitalism Humane?” Friedman died Thursday at age 94.
