Injuries to marquee players plagued the league again this weekend, with Brett Favre and Donovan McNabb most notably not returning to the field. McNabb is done for the season, and his loss will impact the statistics of all Philadelphia skill players. Jeff Garcia was a sufficient replacement on the field, but owners of McNabb might want to look elsewhere for a new quarterback, since the Eagles should be leaning heavily on Brian Westbrook from here on out.
While Trent Green’s return from injury was unimpressive statistically in the Chiefs’ win over Oakland, he improved as the game went on, and is still available in many leagues.
Devery Henderson of the Saints benefited from the ankle sprain of Marques Colston, but will remain a backup if Colston returns next week.
