Football
Montbello: Drew Davis, a senior, will be one of 96 players nationally to compete in the East Meets West High School All-American Game on Jan. 6.
The game will be played at Disney’s Wide World of Sports and be aired live on ESPNU, 1 p.m. MST.
CHSAA: The Colorado High School Activities Association endorses a recognition program by the Denver Chapter of the National Football Foundation and College Hall of Fame for deserving senior football players. Nominations are needed and will be accepted through Dec. 11.
The Colorado Chapter is dedicated to recognizing outstanding young men who perform both on the field and in the classroom. The chapter will recognize 11 outstanding scholar athletes at its 12th annual Scholar-Athlete Banquet. Last year’s banquet honored all seven state championship coaches and 11 scholar-athletes. The Colorado Chapter of the NFF will make a donation to the football program at the high school of each recipient.
