The O’Connor Group, owner and developer of the Lincoln Place project in Loveland, has announced its first retail tenant, Dazbog Coffee. Four more commercial leases, including a restaurant, are being negotiated.

Micro Business Development will hold its first Redefining Business event from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at 700 Kalamath St. in Denver. The Business Citizen of the Year award will be given to D Note, an Arvada restaurant that hosts nonprofit fundraisers, recycles almost all of its waste, and is implementing a compost program for food scraps.

Canyon Wind Cellars will hold a complimentary wine tasting from 3 to 6 p.m. Dec. 2 at its Georgetown Tasting Room. The events celebrates the release of three varietals from the 2005 vintage.

Broomfield Sports and Entertainment announced that Gary Hunter has stepped down as president and chief executive of the Broomfield Event Center, Colorado 14ers basketball team and Rocky Mountain Rage hockey team. He has accepted an offer to lead the 2009 Special Olympics World Winter Games in Idaho as president and chief executive.

The Colorado Department of Agriculture has developed the Colorado Meat Directory to help consumers locate locally produced meats. The inaugural edition of the Colorado Meat Directory lists 74 producers who directly market their meat. Products can be purchased online at coloradoagriculture.com.

Joe Cannata, owner of Bellaire Cleaners on South Pearl Street and executive director of Voices of Victims, was recently recognized for his efforts to support victims of violent crimes. He received the Victim Advocate of the Year award from the Colorado Organization of Victim Assistance at a ceremony in Keystone.

Colorado Asphalt Services Inc. was the winner of the 2006 Denver/Boulder Torch Award for Marketplace Ethics. This is the fourth year the BBB Foundation has honored companies that strive to build a marketplace based on excellence and trust.

Two new office buildings will offer 30,000 square feet of office space for sale to business and medical professionals in The Meadows in Douglas County. The buildings, on Prairie Hawk Drive, will be part of The Meadows Entertainment Center.
