Qwest today announced the addition of new categories of information to its directory-assistance services.
Qwest Wireless customers in the company’s 14-state service region will have access to the new info, which includes driving directions, horoscopes, movie listings and theater locations, ski conditions and weather forecasts.
Wireless users wanting more detailed information will hear a voice prompt offering the new features. After selecting the information they want, customers will be transferred to a Qwest agent who can help them.
Qwest’s enhanced directory services also will offer to both landline and wireless users in the company’s service region improved national business listings. Customers will be able to find contact information by providing a type of business and location, rather than by having to provide a specific business name.
