A 10-year-old boy was killed Tuesday night when the pickup truck he was riding in rolled over on Interstate 25 near Wellington.
Tabor Martin, of Oak Grove, LA, was ejected from the truck even though he was wearing a seat belt, according to the Colorado State Patrol.
He was riding in a 1999 Ford pickup truck driven by Theresa Cupit, 43, of Oak Grove. She and another passenger, Bonnie Garner, 55, of Oak Grove, were taken to Poudre Valley Hospital in Ft. Collins, where they were treated for minor injuries. Both had been wearing seat belts.
Troopers said the pickup truck started to slide on the icy roadway before heading off the right side of the highway and rolling over. No other cars were involved in the accident, according to the patrol.
