Seven ski areas in the state have opened for skiing, and a number of other resorts planned to open in time for the weekend, AAA Michigan said.

WEST-CENTRAL:
–Cannonsburg, up to 24.

SOUTHWEST:
–Bittersweet in Otsego, up to 16.

SOUTHEAST:
–Mount Holly, making snow.
–Pine Knob in Clarkston, up to 15.
–Mount Brighton, up to 18.
–Alpine Valley in Oakland County’s White Lake Township, up to 12.

UPPER PENINSULA:
–Ski Brule in Iron River, up to 36.
