Beach bums: For $1.4 million, you can head to the beach … in Vail.
That’s the anticipated price for each of 10 fractional ownerships in the 7,128-square-foot Chateau du Faucon being offered by the Elysian Societe des Chateaux. The property has one of the only enclosed courtyards and private sand beaches in Vail.
Built in 1997, the six-bedroom Chateau du Faucon is within the exclusive enclave of Glen Lyon on the south bank of Gore Creek, 200 yards from the base of Vail Mountain.
Each owner/member is guaranteed five weeks of access with the option of more access at no further charge, subject to availability. Membership in the Societe des Chateaux itself is $30,000.
Mountain homesteads: Grand River Ranch near Kremmling made the cover of the most recent issue of Rocky Mountain Farm & Ranch, a catalog of rural real estate.
Seven of the 19 original homesteads on the 19,000- acre former cattle ranch remain for sale. The homesteads, ranging from 330 acres to 835 acres, are served by underground utilities and gravel roads.
The property is being marketed by Tim Casey of Breckenridge-based Mountain Marketing Associates.
Growth spurt: In the three years since it opened, a Denver-based electrical contractor has grown its revenue to $43 million.
Encore Electric, founded by five former senior executives from now-defunct Encompass Services Corp., recently completed a massive retrofit of electrical systems for Porter Adventist Hospital.
The 27-month project consisted of an $8.65 million upgrade and replacement of the emergency/critical power systems throughout the hospital campus.
