DENVER – A 39-year-old man has been charged with the death of a co-worker on Dec. 2.
The charge alleges that Shimondi Gebreselassie attacked Alganesh Meshesha, 37, as she closed her business at 1475 Ivy St., according to a news release from the district attorney’s office.
Investigators say Meshesha was stabbed in her car and later died of her injuries. Gebreselassie was located by the California State Patrol on Dec. 5.
His car had become stranded on the side of the road near Barstow, said Lynn Kimbrough, spokeswoman for the Denver district attorney’s office.
Gebreselassie is charged with first-degree murder and is in the San Bernardino County (Calif.) Jail, the release said.
